PASO ROBLES — The Second Baptist Church has opened its doors to the community for the last 27 years thanks to the loving, tender and caring nature of Sister Betty Washington who began this program and was the first cook to serve the local homeless population lunch five days a week.
The Rev. Gary Jordan has been running the program and acting as a shepherd to the flock for the last six years. He developed this program into a nonprofit called Fellowship Development. He explained that Sister Washington is a faithful member of the congregation to this day.For the complete article see the 01-24-2014 issue.
