PASO ROBLES — Robert Clouston of Roberts Restaurant and Wine Bar will be sentenced 10 a.m. on July 29 after pleading no contest to felony charges of grand theft involving an elder.
Clouston’s charges stem from 2009-10 when he committed theft, embezzlement, forgery and identity theft of an elderly woman, according to court documents.
San Luis Obispo County Deputy District Attorney Matthew Kerrigan said he offered Clouston probation on the case, which would endure five years, he could spend up to a year in county jail. Clouston could also be ordered to pay restitution to the victim of his crime, an elderly woman who is now 99 but who was in her mid 90s at the time of the offense.For the complete article see the 06-20-2014 issue.
