Remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day Paso Robles honors veterans at ceremony

PASO ROBLES — Paso Robles District Cemetery was alive with talk of the true meaning of Memorial Day May 30 at the annual Paso Robles Memorial Day event hosted every year to honor the memory of those lost to war, hosted in congress with the American Legion Post 50 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10965.

The event began with the traditional military flyover in V-formation by Estrella Warbird Museum’s Freedom Flight followed by a prayer and opening remarks by Master of Ceremonies and Commander of the American Legion Paso Robles Post 50 John Erwin. Erwin introduced the two gentlemen who both served in the U.S. military.
