The San Luis Obispo Sheriff's north station deputies arrested San Miguel resident Felipe Martinez Nicholas, 22, after he reportedly slashed a neighbor twice with a kitchen knife on Jan. 4.

The two men had reportedly been arguing over personal issues for some time. Nicholas entered the victim's mobile home in the Casa Blanca Mobile Home Park just before 9 p.m.

According to a press release from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office, an argument ensued between the two men, with the victim being slashed on the back and arm. Nicholas then fled the area. The victim's name is being withheld at this time.

Deputies found the knife nearby and later located Nicholas, who was taken into custody without incident and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. As of press time, Nicholas remained in the custody in the county jail with no bail granted on an immigration hold.
