Prius vs. Peterbuilt

TEMPLETON — An intoxicated driver caused a collision along in rural Templeton on Friday.

V.A. Asencio allegedly crashed his 2011 Toyota Prius into a 2006 Peterbuilt truck driven by R.M. Beers, 67, of Creston on Highway 58 east of Navajo Creek Road. Asencio, 38, and passenger E.N. Aros, both of Santa Maria, were transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with major and minor injuries, respectively. Beers reported no injuries.
