Upgrade of sewer treatment plant officially begins

City officials and dignitaries shovel dirt onto a plaque from 1954 during the groundbreaking ceremony for the upgrade of the city’s wastewater treatment plant on Friday in Paso Robles. PASO ROBLES — Upgrading of the city’s wastewater treatment plant officially began Friday afternoon.

City officials shoveled dirt onto the plaque from 1954 when the city’s wastewater plant was built during the ceremonial groundbreaking.
