PASO ROBLES — With the California Mid-State Fair just a day away, the excitement is building for Paso Robles’ marquee annual event.
The 2014 CMSF features a wealth of entertainment options, including concert headliners like Kid Rock, Demi Lovato, Florida Georgia Line, Journey, The Doobie Brothers and more.
In addition to the concert lineup, the usual fair activities of arts and crafts displays, a carnival and wine demonstrations litter the two-week schedule at Paso Robles Event Center.
But perhaps the most Paso thing about the CMSF is the slew of ag events, which draw livestock and equestrian lovers from far and wide.
The fair kicks off with a popular cattle drive on the morning of Wednesday, July 16, which runs from the Golden Hills Auto Center to the South Gate of the fairgrounds from roughly 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Ag events are on the slate all day, every day, including the always entertaining Mutton Bustin’, which tasks children under 6 years of age to take the ride of their life on the back of an extremely annoyed sheep.
