Fair parking lots to benefit PRHS sports

PASO ROBLES If the California Mid-State Fair is on the schedule for some family fun this weekend, be prepared for a traffic-congested journey through the normally serene streets of Paso Robles.

Rather than circling around the Paso Robles Event Center in search of a parking spot for an hour, pull into one of two lots that provide easy access while supporting a good cause.

Both the Pioneer Museum and Tractor Supply Co. have teamed up with Paso Robles High School to help raise funds for athletics by selling parking for the fair.

Proceeds from the Pioneer Museum lot, located at 2010 Riverside Ave. just south of the fairgrounds, will go to support PRHS aquatics, including water polo, swim and dive.

The Pioneer Museum lot will be open for the duration of the CMSF, which runs through July 27.

At the Tractor Supply lot, which sits at 2800 Riverside Ave. across 24th Street, all parking earnings will go to the girls volleyball team.

The latter lot will only operate on Monday, July 21, likely as a means of capitalizing on the massive crowds anticipated for the Florida Georgia Line concert that night.
