Bearcats take on Valencia tonight in CIF-playoff opener

VALENCIA – The Paso Robles High School varsity Bearcats, after their 16-14 win over Atascadero last week, are on the road to Valencia tonight to take on the Valencia High School Vikings in the opening game of the CIF Southern Section Northern Division football playoffs.

The Bearcats (3-3 PAC 7, 6-4 overall) are facing a tough battle against the No. 2 seeded Foothill League champion Vikings (5-0 FL, 7-3 overall). The Vikings had an impressive 49-0 win last week against Golden Valley and average 38 points per game compared to the Bearcats' 28.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Valencia High School.
