VALENCIA – The Paso Robles High School varsity Bearcats traveled to Valencia High School Friday night to battle it out in the first round of the battle it out in the first round of the Northern Division CIF-Southern Section football playoffs but missed the opportunity to advance to second round playoff action after falling 43-36 to the Vikings.

“Our objective was to dominate on the offensive line and we did a pretty good job of that,” Paso Robles senior quarterback Garrett Nelson said. “We just didn’t come out on top as far as the score. I feel like we managed the Viking’s offense pretty well, we fought hard and we played a good game.”
