SAN LUIS OBISPO — Some people may think the opportunity for a high school senior to shoot the biggest men’s college soccer rivalry in the nation – Cal Poly SLO vs. UC Santa Barbara — would create a petrified photographer, afraid of messing up or doing the wrong thing.
That’s what I thought, also. My name is Josh Orcutt. As a Paso Robles High School senior, I am ready for the rest of my life. I found myself with the biggest opportunity in my short, but bright three year photography career. Here’s my story.
When I arrived at Alex G. Spanos Stadium with my family on Nov. 3, I saw the field for the first time in a couple years. The last time I was there was for a Cal Poly football game. I took the elevator up to the top floor of the stadium and went up to the press box.
