TEMPLETON — Before a packed gym at Templeton High School, the varsity Eagles outscored the visiting Soledad Aztecs, 65-51, in an action-packed game of basketball Tuesday night.

“We should have had more numbers up on the scoreboard, but a win is always good,” Eagles head varsity coach Fred Price said. “We just need to keep improving each game.”

Despite a number of turnovers, Templeton led Soledad 14-9 at the end of the first quarter and the Eagles strengthened their lead to 30-23 by the half.
