Eagles prove to be tougher than Lompoc, Santa Maria

TEMPLETON – The Templeton High School varsity girls, presented with a tough opponent as they hosted Lompoc, brought forth their intensity on Tuesday night to earn a much-deserved 70-58 win over the Braves.

“Lompoc plays a very physical type of ball,” THS varsity coach Shawn Koehler said. “Our girls really stepped it up and they were not afraid to shoot against their defense.”

Holding a 38-31 lead over Lompoc going into the half, the Eagles were threatened with a 47-47 tie with the Braves by the end of the third quarter...
