PASO ROBLES — The Marian Eucharistic Conference is celebrating 16 years providing Catholics of the Central Coast with an outlet for religious inspiration and exploration of faith. This is an opportunity to learn about this faith, its long history of traditions and how it plans to inspire future believers. The two-day event begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 and is being hosted by the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Paso Robles.
The traditional conference began in May of 1997 when a group of Catholic families from San Luis Obispo County came together. Their intention was to bring Marian Eucharistic Ministries, a non-profit religious organization, and its conferences to the Central Coast. Prior to 1997, these conferences were held all over California. They thought it their duty to bring this powerful form of evangelization to the area.
