Central Coast Funds for Children presents check to benefit middle schoolers in need

The Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County's new program, Sue's Stars, receives $2,000.


Chris Poe, President of Central Coast Funds for Children, presents a check for $2,000 to Bonnie Long, President of Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County [ALSLOC].

The money was given to the organization to be used for its new program, Sue's Stars, which provides a shopping opportunity for school clothing to middle school children in need. President, Bonnie Long, said the program Sue's Stars was started this last year and with the generous grants, donations and assistance of local retailer,Old Navy.

The program has had great success so far and they hope to be able to continue the program as long as funds are available.

These children grow out of the ALSLOC'S program, Opoertaion School Bell, once they leave the sixth grade. However, they continue to have a need for
