2013 Earth Day Food & Wine Festival grows into its own

GET HUNGRY Tasty dishes sourced from local farmers and ranchers will speckle the rows and rows of tables during the Earth Day Food and Wine Festival marquee event slated for April 20 at Pomar Junction Winery. New this year, Neal Maloney of Morro Bay Oyster Company and Jacqueline of Central Coast Oyster Festival will shuck oysters, pairing the fresh, local morsels with bubbly, chocolates and cheeses.
With handcrafted spirits derived from local grapes, a new, self-guided tour through wine country and even an aphrodisiac bar, the Earth Day Food and Wine Festival has grown into its own in 2013.
