James C. Mitchell, 70, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 16, with his wife and sister at his side.
Jim was the owner of Paso Robles Safe and Lock for many years. After retiring, he became a vintner in the new wine industry in Idaho. He established the first winery, Miceli Vineyards & Winery, in Owyhee County there. Grape growing was his passion and he won several awards in the Northwest for his wines.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Busi Mitchell; his sister, Judy (Chris) George of Dinuba; and his brother, Scott (Leticia) of Las Vegas.
A funeral mass is planned for Jan. 30, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa, Idaho. Condolences for the family can be left at www.cremationsociety-idaho.com under James' obituary page. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, or any hospice.
