July 15, 1933-Aug. 22, 2016
Frank passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 22 surrounded by his family. He was born in Wasco on July 15, 1933 to Theodore and Eulalie Twisselman. He attended Choice Valley grammar school, and then San Luis Obispo schools and helped on his family’s ranch in Choice Valley on weekends. He graduated from San Luis Obispo High School in 1951 and went on to University of California, Berkeley where he earned a 2 year degree in business. He then served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in France and Germany.
He married Patricia R. Cooper in October of 1955 and they made their home in Choice Valley. They led a busy life ranching, dryland farming and raising four children. Later they formed Twisselman Grain & Cattle, a partnership, with their children.
Frank had a wonderful sense of humor, he was very honest, thoughtful, loyal, generous and hard working. He was an avid reader and kept up on all the news, and was known for his organizational and mathematical skills.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister (Audrie), daughter-in-law (Carol Rede Twisselman), and a niece and nephew.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Twisselman, his four children, Elena Clark (Pete), Lonnie Twisselman (Junis), Michael Twisselman and Cheryl Skelton (Darrell); seven grandchildren, Curtis Twisselman (Karli), Christopher Twisselman (Loni), Carly Twisselman, Callie Twisselman, Skyler Skelton (Travis), Nattie Bell (Jake), and Laramie Skelton, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
His family was always his first priority.
