Doris Anderson, a resident of Paso Robles for 70 years, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Turlock surrounded by family at the age of 86.
There will be no funeral services. At a later date, she will be buried with her daughter and husband in the Paso Robles District Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by parents, James Polk and Mary Maude Smith; husband Vernon; Daughter Hilda; sisters Gerry, Grace, Evelyn and Grace and brothers Virgil and Doyle.
She is survived by sister Irene Marquart; children Elaine, Christine, Michael, Gary, Susan, Trisha and Dana along with 16 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren.
Doris graduated from Paso Robles High School in June of 1944 then went to work for JC Penney until securing employment with the Federal Government as a clerk at Camp Roberts where she retired twice.
