Jerry passed away at his home in Paso Robles on his 51st birthday — June 23, 2013. He fought a courageous 14-month battle with brain cancer, in which he kept a positive attitude throughout the entire “journey.”
Jerry loved to make people laugh and was known to play pranks every now and again. Everyone he met liked him. He will be greatly missed. Jerry was a kid at heart, he enjoyed riding his motorized bicycle, skateboarding, camping and boating.
He was born and raised in Oxnard. He graduated from Hueneme High School in 1980. Jerry moved to Paso Robles in 1984, where he met and fell into love with Jean Carnegie. Jerry and Jean were married in 1988. They had a son, Garret, together. He spent most of his working life as a painting contractor and in the painting industry.
Jerry is survived by his loving family, wife Jean, son Garret, and father Roger, brothers Kenny (Johanna), Randy, Roger (Sandy), sisters Eilene Stage (George), Kathi Martin (Alan) and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara.
