Wilson Yee Jung, age 50, of Paso Robles, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Templeton. He was born in Gilroy to Tony Jung and Helen Jung.
Wilson was the youngest of three children. Graduating from Gilroy High School in 1981, he continued to help out in the family business. Later, he became a businessman himself, when he took over the family business: Hot Shots, Comics, Cards and Collectables in Gilroy. At the same time, he was employed at the Monterey County Animal Control for 10 years, where he met his wife, Christine. They were married in Las Vegas, on Dec. 27, 1997. While employed at the Monterey County Animal Control, he became a reserve officer for the Soledad Police Department. Continuing his schooling, he became a full-time Soledad Police Officer realizing his life-long dream.
Wilsonís life was centered around his family. He was very active at the Pleasant Valley School. He would do anything that needed to be done, helping out wherever he was needed, or doing whatever he felt needed to be done. Wilson in his short life has touched many lives and has a special place in the hearts of all those he has touched. He will be sorely missed by all.
Wilson is survived by his wife, Christine Ann; two children, Brandi Jung and Anthony Jung; two step-children, Michael Bennett of Washington and Gavin Bennett of King City; two step-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Jung; a brother, Wilbur Jung; stepmother, Selina Jung; and his father, Tony Jung.
Services were held on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home, 1703 Spring St., Paso Robles. Interment will be on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, 2 p.m., at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma.
