SAN MIGUEL — When it comes to elevating the wine tasting experience, there’s nothing quite like flying high above wine country. Villa San-Juliette Vineyard and Winery aims to bring that soaring opportunity to its wine club members and guests. On Saturday, July 5, the winery began offering helicopter tours of their sweeping San Miguel property and surrounding northern Paso Robles hills. Villa San-Juliette is the vision of television moguls Ken Warwick and Nigel Lythgoe, known for their work producing “American Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
The tours are slated to run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, taking off from the winery’s Mediterranean gardens. Four people may fly per trip, which last about 10 to 15 minutes. Elissa Weise of Parker San Sanpei Public Relations is spokeswoman for the winery.
