ATASCADERO Each game could be the last of his high school career. Atascadero High School senior Jared Stuedemann has spent what could seem like an eternity on the varsity basketball team being one of two freshman on the varsity team in 2010 and has a lifetime of basketball memories to hold on to.
Stuedemann grew up basketball. He is the son of AHS basketball alumnus Scott Stuedemann and brother of Templeton High School basketball star and 2009 Kiwanis All-Star Game dunk contest winner Jordan Stuedemann.
He has played ball with AHS senior Robbie Berwick since the 6th grade and, at 6-feet-4-inches, has a hard time living in the shadows of those other players.
Standing out on the 3-point line, knocking down shots or playing wide-receiver while Berwick slings Favre-like full-court passes, Stuedemann sticks out like a sore thumb. Teams have to deal with his skill-set and hes a matchup nightmare for most teams.
Now helping the 2014 Greyhounds win CIF-SS 3AA playoff games, Stuedemann is in his element winning under pressure. For the complete article see the 02-21-2014 issue.
