Pleasant Valley School having 5K run for technology

SAN MIGUEL — Pleasant Valley School may be the smallest school district in San Luis Obispo County, but they are in the top three countywide with an API score of 850. Being in the top three has inspired staff and administration to set their sights by hosting a fundraiser April 6 called, “Color My Future.” This is a 5K run that will help the school to raise funds to purchase much-needed technology from computers for the lab to tablets, to further improve quality of education.

Principal Lisa Bushong is proud of the school’s progress and ability to serve grades kindergarten through eighth, expressing that they are well on the way to meeting state requirements for implementation of Common Core Curriculum Standards. They just need an infusion of technology to complete the dynamic plans for their school.
