PASO ROBLES — Equestrian Linda Starkman has a dream: to create a mid-state equestrian showground for hunter/jumper competitions in Paso Robles.
That dream cleared a serious hurdle when a 67-acre parcel of land opened up about three years ago just west of Airport Road. Starkman trotted even closer when the project broke ground late last month. If all goes to plan, Paso Robles Horse Park will offer regional competitive shows by this fall.
“I still don’t believe we finally have an earth mover in there,” said Starkman. “It’s been a long three years on the road to approval and it’s been a 12-year dream for me. I believe Paso Robles Horse Park will bring a new element to Paso Robles and bring in a wonderful group of riders.”For the complete article see the 03-07-2014 issue.
