Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association [PCCHA] Trainers recently picked the Paso Robles Police Department Activity League [PAL] to be an official recipient of yearlong funding that will be generated by a special fundraising project.

According to PCCHA Executive Director Phil Benadum, the nature of the project will be revealed at a PCCHA dinner and youth auction following a PCCHA derby slated for March 7 through 13 at the Paso Robles Event Center.

"The [PCCHA Trainers] have chosen the Police Activity League to be their charity that they'd like to work with for the next year. What we're trying to do is join the two groups together" Benadum said.

Fifteen percent of the proceeds of the project – an estimated $6,500 – is expected to benefit the League, which administers the Junior Giants summer baseball league, annual Downhill Derby, Fishing Derby and Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.
