The Barlett pears with blue cheese and nuts complemented the berry flavors in Ruby for a lovely ending to dinner.

Paso Port makes a number of delicious port-style wines. While I can say I enjoyed them all, the one that is easiest to pair with dessert is their 2008 Ruby.
A ruby port is bottled after a short period of time to capture the ripe, bold fruit flavors. Paso Port made the 2008 from some of the varietals grown in Paso Robles that are known to deliver a mouthful of fruit flavors.
