SHANDON — In a game plagued by turnovers and injuries, the Shandon High School varsity football team suffered a 52-13 loss Saturday afternoon to the visiting Northwest Christian Guardians.
The first quarter had the two teams scoring in a back-and-forth pattern with the Guardians’ Deven Hillberg scoring the first touchdown of the game. A 4-yard rush by Shandon’s Michael Portney resulted in a touchdown to tie the game up at 6-6.
