SANTA MARIA — At the Righetti Invitational meet this past Saturday, the Paso Robles High School cross country team finished in first place in both the boys and girls varsity races as well as the boys junior varsity.
The Bearcat varsity boys took first place overall with 20 points, with PRHS senior Matt Kwiatkowski finishing in 16:24 for the fastest time of the day during the 5K race held at Santa Maria’s Waller Park. Aidan Farrell finished third in 16:51, Kyle Ravera was fourth (16:57), Noah Yoshida was fifth (16:57) and Zach Chamberlain was seventh (17:15).
“The varsity boys ran close together for the first two miles and then that last mile, Matt just opened up and took over,” said Paso Robles head coach Ivan Huff.
