SHANDON — Paso Robles resident Eric Gard, 42, sustained major injuries after he was ejected from his motorcycle following a hit-and-run collision during the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 2 near Shandon. Gard is currently being treated for his injuries at Sierra Vista Medical Center.
According to a CHP report, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Gard was riding his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Highway 46, approaching the entrance to the Shandon Rest Area. A tractor-trailer combination and unidentified passenger vehicle where traveling westbound from the opposite side of he entrance to the area.
