Bearcat cross country runners advance to CIF prelims

SAN LUIS OBISPO – The Paso Robles High School varsity boys and girls cross country teams have earned an automatic berth in Saturday’s CIF-Southern Section preliminaries after the Bearcat boys took second place at last week’s PAC 7 finals and the Bearcat girls took fourth.

The varsity boys placed second with 46 points at the PAC 7 finals in San Luis Obispo last Thursday at the Fairbanks Course on the Cuesta College campus, just three points shy of first place Arroyo Grande who earned the league title with 43 points.

The varsity Bearcat girls secured a third place PAC 7 league finish with 76 points. San Luis Obispo finished first as a team with 47 points; Arroyo Grande placed second (47) and Atascadero took fourth (86).
