'Meaningful San Miguel community participation'

SAN MIGUEL — For years, San Luis Obispo County planners, Cal Poly students and others have worked with San Miguel to help plan its future.

Now, a step is being made to up the ante in public involvement.

In October, the San Miguel Advisory Committee (SMAC) approved the development of an ad hoc committee "to improve the opportunity for meaningful San Miguel community participation in the county's planned update of the San Miguel Design Plan," according to the San Miguel Resource Connection-run website, www.discoversanmiguel.com.
