Bessie Atwell Brown, 99, of Paso Robles and Bradley area passed away Nov. 24, 2012 at Vineyard Hills Health Center.
Bessie “Atwell” was born in November of 1913 in Graham, Texas. She lived most of her life in Bradley with her husband Ray Brown owning the only Texaco Station in Bradley and serving the whole community. She was loved by all who knew her with her never ending help and caring for others.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Possie and Iva Bower; her husband: Ray Brown; her brothers: Lee, Donald, Ralph and Dale Bower; sisters: Florine Neal and Kathreen Alford.
Bessie is survived by her sister Calistine Hirchler; Daughter Dorothy Trader; Grand-Daughter: Susan Kauhn; Great-Grandchildren Carl and Joey Kauhn; great-great grandchildren: Dane Kauhn, Athony Hudson, Kenra Kauhn; and many nieces and nephews.
The family deeply thanks Vineyard Hills Health Center for their help in making Bessie comfortable for the Last month of her life.
A memorial service will be held at Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Chapel 1703 Spring St., Paso Robles on Friday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at Paso Robles Grange Hall.
