FRESNO – The runners on the Paso Robles High School varsity boys’ cross country team took part in the 26th annual CIF State Cross Country Championships last weekend in Fresno and brought home a 10th place team finish in the Division 3 race with 253 points.

“All of the other Division 3 teams in the state had been eliminated over the course of the season except for the 23 that made it to the finals,” PRHS coach Ivan Huff said. “For our boys to finish 10th in the state – that’s really good. I believe the last time that happened for Paso Robles was in 2000.”

PRHS senior Aidan Farrell set the pace for the Bearcats in the Nov. 24 state competition at Woodward Park, finishing 42nd overall at 16 minutes, 23 seconds.

Sophomore Zach Chamberlain finished 63rd at 16:36; junior Kyle Ravera, 73rd at16:43; senior Nick Stair, 81st 16:46 and senior Noah Yoshida, 93rd at 16:51.
