Eagles girls soccer scratch for first win vs. Righetti, but fall short

TEMPLETON –— The Templeton High varsity girls were defeated by the visiting Righetti Warriors 9-3 on Tuesday in a preseason soccer matchup.

Templeton (0-4) fell behind early on and trailed Righetti 6-0 at halftime. The Eagles came out fighting in the second half, with Courtney Elterman scoring a goal after a pass by Annie Mae Bohnsack.

  The Warriors (2-1) scored two more goals before the Eagles' Lindsey Wyatt scored a goal following a corner-kick by Samantha Bronkar. The Eagles pressured the Warriors throughout the second half and had several scoring opportunities, with Bohnsack kicking in the final goal for the Eagles near the end of the game.
