TEMPLETON The Templeton post of the American Legion was chartered in April 1922 it will be 91 years old on its next birthday. The American Legion Auxiliary was chartered in April, 1923 it will be 90 years old on its next birthday.
Which puts the two related groups right in between two 90-year birthdays.
But neither will really celebrate the birthday with such trappings as cakes and balloons. The groups exist to support veterans and their families. So while 90 is a significant milestone, the organizations have much better reasons to celebrate: the people they serve.
