PASO ROBLES — Fixing city streets, creating jobs and re-examining any revenue increases to see how they might be spent are top priorities for Paso Robles Mayor Duane Picanco.

Picanco, who will now serve in his second term as mayor after running unopposed in November of 2012, stalwartly said that he'll strive to continue to bolster Paso Robles as the economic hub of the North County.

In a recent interview, Picanco outlined some of his top priorities heading into 2013.

• Budget/revenues

City officials are projecting a "slight revenue increase" in 2013. A future public workshop in Paso Robles will be held to discuss city goals, wherein Picanco intends to listen to what the public wants to do with the money. The process is held every two years, "to make sure everybody's onboard and going in the same direction," he said.
