Sherrell "Bill" Beadle, 97, born near Sayre, Okla. in 1915, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton after a wonderfully long, full life.
Bill was the third son of four born to William and Minnie Beadle. He and his family moved to California in 1935 and settled in Long Beach. He married Frances White in 1937 in Torrance and lived there until he retired. He worked for the Borax Company at the Wilmington Plant as an auto maintenance mechanic. They moved to Atascadero in 1975 and then to Paso Robles in 2000.
Bill served in the Army in the pacific arena during WWII and was a Mason for more than 50 years, serving in various positions. He is a past Master Mason, and in 1988 he received the Hiram Award. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fisherman. He is loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his brother Lloyd Beadle of Henderson, Nev.; grandchildren Sharon Eggers Young (John Young) of Paso Robles and Keith Eggers (Christina Marrah Eggers) of Huntington Beach and great-grandchildren Tyson Howell, Casey Howell (Misty Almond Howell) and Ian Young.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances; daughter Cynthia Beadle Nadalin; and brothers Raymond and Nolan Beadle. A special note of thanks is given to Carol Pawlik, who has been his loving companion since the death of his wife in 2001. A graveside service will be held for family and friends Thursday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. at the Atascadero Cemetery with a reception afterwards at the Quail Run clubhouse.
