Hoteliers give tourists more reasons to exit Hwy. 101

PASO ROBLES — Partners in tourism: in Paso Robles, it's not just hotels — but the tourism industry as a whole.

A week after re-branding its identity under the name, "Visit SLO County," San Luis Obispo County Visitors & Conference Bureau representative Stacie Jacob called Paso Robles "one of the calling cards for why people come to San Luis Obispo." She urged the council to continue its support.

The council voted 4-0 with councilman Steve Martin absent to renew the levy of an annual assessment through January 2014 to the Paso Robles Tourism and Lodging Promotions Business Improvement District (BID). The BID became effective in January of 2009.
