Cerro Alto 4-H gives a ‘paw’ to local humane society

NORTH COUNTY — North County Humane Societyt recently received a call from Cerro Alto 4-H group in Atascadero, wanting to do a fundraiser for local cats and kittens.

“They had a great idea about collecting items that the shelter uses by attaching the ‘Shop for the Shelter’ list to paper bags and leaving them on people's front porches,” organizers said.

On Jan. 12, scouts picked up numerous, overflowing bags from a “very generous” neighborhood, according to organizers.
