Double-wins for Templeton vs. Santa Maria this season

Photo by Meagan Friberg. The Templeton High School varsity girls’ soccer team, led by head coach Moises Jimenez, earned a win over the Santa Maria Saints for the second time this season on Tuesday afternoon.

TEMPLETON – For the second time this season, the varsity Eagles earned a win over Santa Maria on Tuesday afternoon to strengthen their Los Padres League record to 4-3.

The Templeton girls secured the first goal of the game, but it didn’t take long before the Saints responded with a goal of their own to tie the score, 1-1.

“We had a slow start,” THS varsity coach Moises Jimenez said. “I think we were a bit over-confident after beating Santa Maria earlier this season.”
