Night of champions: honoring USAC Western Champions

Paso Roblans: Start your engines. The Estrella Warbirds Museum will hold the prestigious Night of Champions award ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 9 honoring the United States Auto Club (USAC) Western Champions.

For the first time, the Night of Champions Awards Gala dinner — honoring those in the sport who have achieved recognition during 2012 — will be held at the local museum.

Chris Kearns, a Santa Maria resident and director of USAC’s West Coast division, said that the location is perfect for the engine-revving event. The Woodland Auto Display is also located at the Estrella Warbirds Museum.
