PASO ROBLES — Sometimes, a photograph can say more than 1,000 words.

The El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society invites the community to view San Luis Obispo County through the lens of a late 1800s photographer during the "Shared Histories" exhibit running at the Carnegie Library Feb. 12 through April 30.

The display was made possible thanks the recent donation of 2,000 19th-century glass plate photographic negatives, the largest collection of historic items received by the society to date.
