PASO ROBLES ó Multiple sclerosis hit Stephanie Rothbauer out of the blue, but it didnít knock her down ó not by a long shot.

The Paso Robles wife and mom of three recently rallied her friends, family and community members behind her. The group of 20 (dubbed Team Steph: NotMSing Around) has raised more than $3,200 in just two weeks ó making them the highest grossing fundraising group for the upcoming National Multiple Sclerosis Society WALK MS fundraiser slated for April 20 in San Luis Obispo. Local wineries have also donated to the sum, which is still growing.

More than 600 participants will join Rothbauer in the fight against multiple sclerosis during the 5K charity walk next month. Organizers hope to raise $80,000 this year, with funds benefiting local programs, services and research for people who face the daily challenges of living with the disease.
