PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles Chamber Ballet Company, made up of eight local dancers, was held to the highest standards of the Pacific Region last Sunday afternoon as former professional ballerina Rosine Bena reviewed the practice and performance style of the program during an adjudication process.

“Musicality — that’s what we are looking for,” Director Cheryle Armstrong said to her dancers halfway through the two-hour session. “We want to see music come to life.”

The ballet company, now in its 12th season, is an extension of Class Act Dance and Performing Arts Studio and Armstrong is the director. A member of Regional Dance America — Pacific Region, the company is adjudicated by nationally recognized dance professionals and receives a written critique of the company’s strengths and challenges.
