SANTA MARIA — The Shandon High School Outlaws were defeated by the Coastal Christians Conquerors on Friday, 19-9, in a Coast Valley League match up.
The Outlaws were led by Gustavo Lopez who was 2 for 3 with a double. Lopez scored runs and had four stolen bases. Roberto Ramirez was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBI. Roberto Rodriguez was 2 for 4 with two RBI.
The Outlaws (0-3 CVL) are set to host the Valley Christian Academy Lions (2-1 CVL) today at 3:30 p.m.
Paso Robles 8, Arroyo Grande 4
ARROYO GRANDE — The Bearcats brought home an 8-4 win over the Eagles on Friday night to strengthen their PAC 7 league record to 4-1 (10-7 overall).
"It was great to jump out and score three runs in the first inning," PRHS varsity softball coach Val Reynolds said. "It was a good confidence-builder for the hitters."
Jenna Rogers pitched all seven innings for Paso Robles for the win.
Megan Clark went 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI and scored three runs. Jenna Wookey was 2 for 4 with four RBI.
The Bearcats host the St. Joseph Knights (0-4 PAC 7, 3-7 overall) today at 4 p.m.
Templeton 7, Lompoc 1
TEMPLETON — The Eagles were led by Kiani Alba in their win Friday night over the Braves, going 3 for 3 with one RBI and two runs.
Fellow THS junior Ashley Stevens had a triple and two RBI while Corinne Barto struck out six for the win.
Templeton (2-3 LPL, 5-10 overall) will host the Santa Ynez Pirates (0-5 LPL, 0-13 overall) today at 4:30 p.m. at the Vineyard Elementary athletic complex.
