TEMPLETON — Templeton High senior Conner Truhitte will be changing his Eagles wings for the spots of a Leopard in August when he begins his journey into college life at the University of Laverne.

Truhitte signed his National Letter of Intent to attend and play football at the university before a slew of friends and family that lined the main hallway at Templeton High School on April 29. As his parents, Tammy and Gary, and younger sister, Courtney, sat alongside the 6-foot-1, 200 pound football player, Truhitte made things official to play for the Division III team with the swipe of a pen amidst the applause from his coaches, teammates and fellow Templeton High students.

Attending the university on a partial academic scholarship, Truhitte will be majoring in exercise science or kinesiology.
