Rev. LaVonne: The world is full of givers in many capacities.
Dr. Don: This weekend we celebrate those who have passed on after giving of their lives in so many ways. Memorial Day honors heroes of all kinds.
Rev. LaVonne: I feel that being generous is an inborn trait. That Spirit has given you an abundance of heart that transcends all self-imposed limitations.
Dr. Don: You may have learned that generosity sets us up to be taken advantage of. Yet, generosity actually attracts an abundance of good. It’s a reciprocal universe. As you give, you receive.
Rev. LaVonne: In Corinthians 9:7 it says: “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Dr. Don: Everyone has something to give. No one else can give what you are uniquely qualified to give. You are the gift.
Rev. LaVonne: Recently, I read a quote from a headstone in Ireland. It read, “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”For the complete article see the 05-24-2013 issue.
