The tasting room and view at Le Cuvier Winery

Modified: Tuesday, May 28th, 2013

Stephanie Austin/For the Paso Robles Press Le Cuvier presents a warm and welcoming tasting room experience including food and wine pairing for $10.
I discovered Le Cuvier because it was the last winery on my way down to Paso Robles from westside wine country. Like a diamond in the rough, I uncovered what is now a must-visit favorite and sometimes my only reason to go out for a wine-tasting picnic. As it turns out, many visitors to Le Cuvier discovered this gem in a similar fashion.

“I had a [local man] come up here and say, ‘I’ve lived here for 35 years and I never knew a view like this existed in the county,’” business manager Houston Smith said.

You may have found yourself at Le Cuvier after reading the dozens of reviews on Yelp or maybe from the Far Out Wineries’ directory. Although Le Cuvier chooses not to market via the common channels, such as the wine alliance, people still find their way to this special place and the wines sell out every year.
