Hepatitis A outbreak in western states linked to berries sold in local stores

SAN LUIS OBISPO The California Department of Public Health and the Food and Drug Administration are leading an investigation into an outbreak of hepatitis A in several western states, including California, Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada. Although no local cases have been identified, approximately 30 persons have become ill, and have been linked to Townsend FarmsOrganic Anti-oxidant Blend, a frozen berry product.
